How to use our sharpening stones?
A simple, mindful ritual that keeps your tools in sharp shape and ready for any task.
I own a variety of different whetstones, some European and some Japanese, yet I find that when I want to get a tool nice and sharp quickly, my Coticules are usually the ones I reach for.

I have purchased multiple Coticules online and each stone has produced excellent edges. One happy customer!

Always a pleasure visiting the shop.
You feel very welcome and there is no pushing to buy and leave. I can take my time looking at the diffrent stones and make a collection of the ones I like.
The stones are great for sharpening after a 1000 grit stone or diamont plated. Mirror finish and amazing sharp. Take you're time sharpening and the results wil be fantastic. Easy to clean because it's a natural water stone.

Amazing sharpening stones for our kitchen knives. The yellow stones are great for my open razor and give me the most amazing shave. The youtube videos helped a lot to refine my technique and elevated sharp to a new level. It also helped to have that handsome man explain it all very clearly!

I am very happy with my purchase of Coticule whetstones, as well as the Belgian blues, and I have later ordered more stones to supplement the first ones I bought. In my experience these stones give my tools an excellent cutting edge, while the fine slurry that the stones naturally produce also allows them to whet relatively fast. I own a variety of different whetstones, some European and some Japanese, yet I find that when I want to get a tool nice and sharp quickly, my Coticules are usually the ones I reach for.

Absolutely recommended sharpening stones. I use the Belgian Blue stone for regularly/weekly sharpening, and it is perfect. No need to soak in water, do not absorb water, dry quickly. Natural product, from Europe, it is a big plus. Works with harder steels (m390, elmax,...) too.

I have to sharpen grafting knives. I have tried many artificial and natural stones. The best option, if I sharpen in the garden, is Belgian Blue Whetstones (BBW). If I sharpen at home, I use Coticule. In this case, the cutting edge is slightly more durable.
No other stones give such quality.

I’ve bought multiple coticules from Rob and Maurice at Ardennes and they have always been very helpful. I hone straight razors with them and can honestly say, they make the most comfortable edge you can get. Don’t let anyone tell you they can’t make as sharp an edge as other stones either. That just means their skills are lacking.
Highly recommend

I picked up a coticule selected whetstone 200 x 75 mm for my straight razor. I also have a belgin blue whetstone I use for my wood plane blades. The quality of both stones is excellent. I have had them for several years. The coticule takes the place of several synthetic whetstones, which was a selling point for me.
